One Year. 365 Photos. A World Opened Up.

I took on a 365 project in hopes of improving my photography and finding a creative voice.  Over the course of the year, as I looked out onto my world through the lens, I found myself pulled more and more deeply into my inner life.  This was a theme I noticed during my wandering years too, that the further I went into the outside world the more I got into myself.  I didn't expect to find it here too.

I revel in the roundness of noticing that it is the process of the journey, whatever kind it may be.  It expands us and connects us deeply to ourselves and those around us.  This is immensely pleasing to me.

Before I leap forward into the next year of Bird, I wanted to take a little bit of time to look back at what this past year was.  This slideshow contains some of my favorite photos and thoughts from a year of exploration and expression, plus a song from Radiohead that I love.

Goosebumps! I am blown away. Two of my favorites: Thom Yorke vocals over Bird visuals. Great way to tie up the past year. I for one am looking forward to what's next.

Who'd have ever thought that a little kid that I knew would grow up and do this?! It's magnificent, Corinna. I applaud the artist in you.

Remarkable achievement. You have occasionally commented that you lack follow-through. Well,
those days are behind you! (I haven't done one thing every day of my life except brush my teeth.
This is far more impressive.) Thank you for the daily escape, the thoughtful commentary and the photos
that always "mean" something. I've enjoyed the journey.

Clearly you are in your element sista! "The Element is a meeting point between natural aptitude and personal passion. When you are in your Element time passes differently and you are more alive, centered and vibrant than at any other time." xo

Hi Corinna! Looking at your pictures and following your project for quite a while now has been very rewarding and inspiring. Not only that I admire your pictures and -most of all- your angle on things, what I perhaps really love about your daily blogging is that it feels so "real" and that you are honest about your journey. That was very encouraging for me. I am so much looking forward what will come up next! For now, celebrate, enjoy and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Brilliant, really enjoyed this Corinna and thank you for sharing once again. In both your words and your photography you are an inspiring person with a lot of light. Glad you are sharing your light with others. Gabe
